Okay hotel with nice pools and bad bad food

It’s a nice hotel with good value for money. We came here as a family to meet up with another befriended family from Madrid - 5 kids altogether - for this purpose the hotel was perfect. The pools are nice, the adult only areas nicely separated from the kids areas. A lot of things to like in this hotel, great lobby, nice staff, good service.

The last time we stayed in an all inclusive hotel was at the beginning of the 2000s, not much has changed since then though, and maybe even to the worse. The food, as probably in most all inclusive buffet style places, was mediocre at best. There are a lot of choices at the buffets but at the expense of poor quality of everything. Basically you only get the cheapest version of everything. The apples taste of chemicals, the calamares is the worst we’ve tried in whole Spain and the chocolate fountain is fake (in fact has nothing to do with chocolate. This list can be continued for many pages. However, if feasting like a pig is your thing and you don’t care about food culture, you will be happy in this place. As a family we like to eat pure and simple foods, preferably local and fresh products. Sustainability and health are important to us. With that attitude you will feel at the wrong place in this hotel. We were happy to leave after 4 days. Moreover, the buildings where the rooms are located are quite outdated. Everything was narrow and maybe acceptable in the 80/90s, but not anymore in the 2020s.

Good hotel on a great beach

Great location, food was good standard and varied, hotel was clean and bright. Room comfy and clean. Grounds beautifully kept.

Servicing of room could have been more thorough. Balcony was small and not much of a view. Entertainment in evenings was loud in the room. Some hotel processes were frustrating as they didn't quite work. Some evidence of needing a refurb in certain areas.

Lovely place for relaxing holiday

Very good location on the seafront with direct access to the beach, nice surrounding with lots of plants and flowers, a few swimming pools, good variety of food, separate restaurant serving late breakfast

Only one heated swimming pool and only in the Esencia part

Great weather, great hotel…

The adult only area, albeit no longer naturist.

Queuing at the various bars. The areas were understaffed, and although most of the staff were pleasant, the odd barman, always the older males, were very grumpy and dismissive.

Excellent choice of food , especially in the snack bar. Large pools. Lovely gardens and layout of the outside areas of the hotel. Very well maintained. Very friendly reception staff. Nice comfortable room and very clean. Also had tea ,coffee making facilities which I always like to have.

Needed more staff in the restaurant to clear the tables if used plates etc. quite often sat at a table that needed clearing . Some of the bar staff were quite unfriendly, especially the man on the lunch time shift on Sunday at the pool bar and the towel staff also not very friendly. Cocktail drinks very weak.

The gardens were beautiful. Escencia area was great. Personal touches such as waitress going around the pool with cocktails and proseco.

Overall a good hotel with great swimming pool areas.

Pool areas are very good, especially for young children. The room was large, clean and was equipped with a good cot.

The queue for check took quite a while. The food was very good on some nights, but average on others. Cocktails were not included in the 'all-inclusive'.

If you are looking for quantity over quality, this is the hotel for you

Nice welcome upon arrival. However when I went back to enquire about the spa, they did not provide any phone number, so I had to walk all the way to the spa, which is at the other end of the hotel. All information should be available at the reception (at least the spa phone number which I was looking for).

Unfortunately, for a 4*hotel, the service is not here. You can feel that the waiters at the buffet restaurant are not happy to be here. We paid for the dinner with drinks, and one waitress said to us that alcohol was not included when seeing our wine glasses. She took our receipt and went to see the person with whom we bought the dinner. She came back saying that this is fine, we are allowed to have alcohol. There is an evident problem of communication, on top of the barrier language (the way the waitress said to us drinks are not allowed was rude). Training the staff should be a priority! No parking and there are a lot of cars so you need to walk a little distance from where you park. The bathroom needs ventilation, there are molds on the ceiling and it is very hot in here. The air conditioning does not seem to work properly. The hotel advised to keep the windows closed but even with the air conditioning at its max, we were feeling hot. Overall rooms need renovation.

Pros outweigh the cons by far.

Hotel is lovely. Great pools and well maintained. Looks like certain parts were renovated as well. All inclusive value was great! Right on the beach which has the best sunrise and sunsets! Rooms were perfect, modern and clean. The town nearby by a quick 5min taxi has all the shopping and beach fun.

Food could be better but it was still enjoyable. The paella is the best at lunch. There was not enough staff in the restaurants. We almost always were waiting for tables to be cleaned before we could sit and sometimes we cleaned them ourselves it took so long.

it is indeed a 4 star hotel but wouldn't stay here again

the rooms were really good, big and bed was comfy. also air conditioning worked fine. also we liked the adults area and the fitness classes. the breakfast was great.

too crowded and unorganised at meal times. a lot of long ques at all the bars for getting a drink. food for lunch and dinner wasn't good. only reception and cleaning staff were friendly.

Great resort for families, nice green environment and tasty food.

The complex of the hotel was fantastic, a very beatiful and ample hall, the rooms were distributed in rows of small houses along small pedestrian roads going all across the complex which is filled with lush and well maintaned vegetation. The resort had plenty of big swimming pools for all tastes and abilities. The beach near the hotel had also a nice view, it was however often windy (no surprise there), for a calmer sea we took the car and went to Morro Jable, it may depend on wind direction for us it was the case and in the rocky area not far from the docks it was possible to do some interesting snorkeling. The dinner buffet was great, with a lot of variety and something different every day, only the fruit was a bit of a letdown as we were expecting more choice, especially among exotic fruit. All the staff members were extremely cordial and helpful. Car parking near the hotel was not a problem. Even if somewhere in the description it was written that cribs were not available we asked for one in the reservation request and it was granted to us.

The first room that was assigned to us was a bit dirty, we reported it and we were quickly assigned a new, very clean one. The music in the "Kids Disco" was really too loud, it was difficult to bear for an adult, i think for a child it could be donwright damaging for their hearing. This is just a nitpick: the rooms' entrance doors have one or two cm gap from the floor, given that it's a tropical climate with plenty of "fauna" i'd have preferred something more tight, said that we did not have any bug in our room.
